Welcome to Waiariki Institute of Technology, your journey to success. We are the only New Zealand government-owned (public) tertiary education institution fully based in the Waiariki region which offers courses across campuses in Rotorua, Taupo, Tokoroa and Whakatane. It is our job to enhance your career and job prospects for the future.

We are focused on providing students with work-ready skills which will give you the opportunity to be more productive and increase your income earning potential.
While we have a national reputation for our forestry, tourism, hospitality and nursing programmes, we also teach many other disciplines. We have a strong cultural flavour and welcome students from all nationalities.

Most of all, we believe learning is fun! Our institute is located in the most beautiful region in New Zealand. We believe absolutely in a study-life balance.
